- Folsom CaliforniaHere is another topic that I would love to make an updated video on. Almost two years ago, I made a video for my Youtube channel titled Cost of Living in Folsom CA. Here is the link to that video: https://youtu.be/CbRC468kH-c Today, with more and more people having solar for their home, I'm sure it's changed some. Tell us what your approximate monthly costs are and if you have solar or not. Let us know if you have a Whole House Fan as well or anything else that you do to help you conserve energy. Do you have a special membership that allows you to save money on certain items? Let us know. We would all love to help each other save on our monthly costs. How about child care? My kids are grown, but I know this is an expense that has to be taken into consideration. Tips or hacks that you can share with us. I'll do an updated video on this once I have enough ideas to make an updated video. I'd be happy to send you a copy of the new video. Just ask!Like
- General DiscussionMy buyer wanted to make an offer on a home that was priced at $699,000 in a highly sought-after suburb of Sacramento. We had a feeling that they were going to have many offers because of the amount of traffic they had during their open houses. (We went to both of their open houses during the weekend) Since we were beaten out before in our other offer, we decided to make an offer that was significantly higher than their asking price. We offered $760,000 - $61k above the asking price. We also sweeten the terms by waiving the appraisal and the loan contingencies. Even though we thought we made a good offer, we were still unsure if we should go higher or not. We waited! The following day we received a multiple counter offer from the seller - meaning they are countering a few buyers at the same time. The counter offer asked us to give our Highest and Best offer. This scenario is very typical - especially in the last 2 summers. Most buyers have had to go to their limit in order to have their offer accepted. This is a great market for home sellers, but not so much for the many buyers out there. With that said, tell us any stories that you may have experienced or what you think of the current state of the local real estate market. It would be great to hear from the home seller's side. Let us know if you've recently sold your home. I'm sure everyone would love to hear!Like
- Sacramento Metro CaliforniaBest areas to live in Sacramento California. Sacramento has so many "pockets" as I call them. One neighborhood is known as a great neighborhood, then the next street over or the neighborhood just across the highway is not so good. There are many places like this IN the same zip code, so it really takes someone who knows the area well to be able to tell someone which areas are great areas to live, like East Sac, Med Center, Fab 40s, Land Park, just to name a few. There are many people who live here that don't know some of these areas. I've helped home buyers who have lived here a long time who say, "Wow! I didn't know this area existed. I've never been here before" Tell us where you think are the best areas to live in Sacramento and why.Like
